What we have built so far.
We started with the hardest part of an electric vehicle to get right: the drive. Today more than 170,000 vehicles run on controllers we designed, built and tested ourselves, for makers including Mahindra, Ampere and Lectrix.
Each of those controllers already does more than turn a motor. Motor control and vehicle control share one unit, updates arrive over the air, and the hardware, firmware and algorithms are our own. That is the foundation the next step is built on.
This is where C-Electric is heading: bringing more of the vehicle’s systems, and more of its intelligence, into that one architecture.
Two engineers, 16 years together.
Bavil Varghese and Ratheesh K. Nair have worked together for 16 years. In November 2018 they founded C-Electric in Kochi to build India’s own EV powertrain technology.
One leads the business; the other leads the technology. Every product decision is made by both.
